Hi, my name is Karin and I have decided to skip the rocking chair and do something fun in my Golden Years. I hope you will join me on this journey to discover lots of fun projects we all can make.

And on the way, we will also use up this big pile of materials that is stashed in drawers and boxes for when we have time to make something. And we will finish those projects that got started and never finished. I know I am not the only one that has tons of craft materials all over and has lots of projects that are started but not finished. We are all guilty of that. But now is the time to clean out our craft closet and make some pretty things.

We will also learn about the best tools to use for when we get older and certain things like vision or strength are not as good as they used to be, we might need a little extra help.

Exploring materials and supplies we might need in addition to the craft supply stash we already have is an important part, and I will post links to sales and closeouts on tool and supply websites, so we can get the best price we can find.

There will be projects in written form for free on this website, as well as paid tutorials on my store at Michaels MakerPlace, where you can also purchase the materials if you need to, and some video tutorials.

No matter if you are a beginner or already advanced in a certain craft, we want to have you. Let us learn from each other and with our expertise we will create beautiful things for ourselves or maybe gifts for our family and friends.

I am a goldsmith and also taught jewelry classes at a jewelry school where we had students of all ages from 12 to 72. So, it is never too late to learn a new hobby, or maybe make it into an extra income for your nest egg. We will be talking about where to sell your handmade creations, if you want to do that.

As my love for creating something beautiful took me through all kinds of crafts, I am sure we can find something to create for everyone.
